Thanksgiving 30 Day Challenege: Day 10

11-11-11

What is a Veteran?
A Veteran whether active duty, discharged, retired or reserve
is someone who at some point in his/her life
wrote a blank check payable to "The United States of America"
for an amount "up to, and including his/her life"

I am thankful for all those brave men and women who have, are and will serve our country.
Happy Veteran's  Day!

  1. So relevant and true! I just wish our country created more peace than veterans.

  2. A great tribute, Karin. Jenny at Rock Rose posted a nice tribute this morning too explaining the significance of the red poppies. I'll never look at them the same way again.
