A Teeny, Tiny Baby
How cute is this little guy?!
I found this baby anole hanging out on the blueberry shrub while I was harvesting berries.
He is about 2 inches long and can't be but a few days old. These little guys have to fend for themselves from day one.
He was a little camera shy at first hiding out behind the leaves.
But slowly ventured out. You can see from the expression on his face in the photo above
that he is still a little hesitant.
I hope he has a great summer in my garden!
I have to admit they are cute little things. You sure caught some great photos of it.

I need to come south and collect a few of these. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the photo where his head is peaking out over the leaf!
ReplyDeleteIt's that time of year when these little guys turn up everywhere in the garden. It always makes me smile to see them.
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie. I like the second photo of the light coming through the leaves and he looks like a statue.
ReplyDeleteThere are no such creatures in my Canadian garden. Just birds, squirrels and the occasional late night pass through of racoons dancing on the fence. Your photos are fantastic!

Looks like he changed colors a little bit for you as well! We have seen some really small ones, think they are the cutest!!
ReplyDeleteWith sweet hosts like your family, he is sure to have a great summer! Cute shots.
ReplyDeleteAw, how cute! I love the little anoles. We see them a lot around here as well.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that's adorable. I especially like the 2nd shot, which has neat lines and light and really shows how tiny he is. Also the third, the peek-a-boo shot.
ReplyDeleteI just love these critters and wished we had them...he is in good hands!
ReplyDeleteAwww, sweet! I love his little head peeking over the top of the leaf.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet and very photogenic..Michelle
ReplyDeleteI always love when photos are posted of these little guys. We have nothing remotely similar here and I just find them so charming.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have anoles here and I'm really captivated by them. WANT! I have a very shy skink who lives under the patio steps but I've only seen it twice in 9 years. I'm sure that little guy will be big and sassy by the end of the summer. :o)
ReplyDeletehe's sooo cute I love the last picture he's sunbathing..lol
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are all so beautiful I get inspired every time I stop by.. hugs, Cherry
Oh how very cute! This is a really fun post full of great photos. Now, I want one! LOL
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable, especially in the last picture sunning himself on the leaf.
