Orchid Daze
A great way to escape the doldrums of winter is to visit the hanging gardens at the Fuqua Orchid Center at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. This is exactly what my husband and I did when we attended their Valentine's night in the garden. Here is a little taste of the beautiful blooms we enjoyed as our backdrop to an enchanting evening of desserts, wine and entertainment.
Happy Valentine's Day! xo!
There's some really pretty Orchids here and couple are very unusual.

Oh my those orchids are so varied, and gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOooooh!!! I'm drooling over these beautiful orchids. What a nice Valentine's Day gift for your readers. And a happy Valentine's Day to you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful display...
ReplyDeleteThese are so interesting! The third one looks painted! What a great way to celebrate Valentine's - in the botanical garden! Sounds like a wonderful night.
ReplyDeleteLove the bizarre colors and shapes of orchids. That one with the purple dots is really cool.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are all incredibly lovely! I love the second one! That must have been a wonderful evening with your valentine. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteYou have illustrated through your photos exactly why I love orchids...because of their beauty, versatility, and exotic nature. Your photos are stunning!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was not with me at the Botanical Gardens on Valentine's Day. He finds those events quite a bore, but I enjoyed it. It was nice that Atlanta has a similar night event. The orchid house up here was lighted similarly to in Atlanta, no wild colored lighting. It makes sense too with how colorful are the orchids. We have all the same varieties except maybe that really unusual one second to last. I remember one a little like it, but it really is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! And I have to tell you...your banner photo was like balm to my soul. :)
ReplyDeletelove your artsy orchid shots! and valentine's night at the abg sounds wonderful. i'm with hanni on the header photo, too. sooo pretty with all that sunlight shining through.
ReplyDeleteto you too! sorry is a little late but better than never! Beautiful orchids and shots.
ReplyDeleteYour photography keeps getting better and better. The images all are stunning. I agree that the new header photo is enchanting.
