Elle est belle n'est-ce pas?

This beautiful red-tailed hawk was perched on a tree branch next to my house this morning. She was very intent on getting some breakfast. Hopefully, with a little luck but mostly skill she found herself a nice mouse, vole or rabbit (all pests in my book since they either try to winter in my house or eat my plants).



This rather fat chipmunk has been busy all morning under one of my bird feeders. Filling his checks full of sunflower seeds. Hopefully the hawk won't find him. He is rather adorable. But such is the circle of life.
