They have a Butterfly House with a great selection of butterflies. I am not sure what type of butterfly the second one is. The butterflies in the tray are Owl Butterflies. I have tons of pictures of butterflies in my garden, some I have included in various posts but I really should do a post on just butterflies in my garden. I will put it on my list for 2011. Thanks for visiting my blog.Karin / Southern Meadowshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06514989784715204223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335626764384885870.post-68544934504029714802011-01-02T15:48:39.842-05:002011-01-02T15:48:39.842-05:00Wow Karin! It says it's a rare stray from the tropics. The Moths and Butterflies of North America don't have any listed for Georgia. Here is the website with the page..
http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=1774&chosen_state=37*North%20Carolina
I've sent in photos with the info of butterflies they don't have in my area and they are very happy to get them. I'm having a little bit of a hard time figuring out the two on the orange tray. They look like Satyrs of some type but their spots are giving me a hard time!! hahaha! How very interesting! Thanks for posting these!Evehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06554593974838511759noreply@blogger.com
