Wordless Wednesday: Ta-Da!

Eastern Amberwing (male)

There are many variations of handstands but in all cases a handstand performer must posses adequate balance and upper body strength.

  6. Love it!! Great shot :-) No way, no how I could ever do a handstand like that! I never cease to be amazed at some of the critter shots bloggers get in their gardens. The bugs just never sit still long enough for me to get a good picture. And yours are doing handstands for you! I'd be doing backflips if I could get a picture like that -- tee hee :-)

  7. That is a great shot! So cute! I also have a find time getting a good shot of insects. It seems they flit away just as I am getting focused. :)

  8. Lovely, maybe that is a part of the courtship ritual. I saw those spread wings also in termites during their night mating rituals. However, instead of the head stand they do fast pirouettes while the four wings are spread apart!

  9. Very impressive! If I were to try that I'm sure a neck brace and traction would be the end result!
