  2. Your photos are so beautiful. The contrast of the mushrooms with the foliage is lovely. And the quote...a perfect little extra!

  4. Mushrooms in the wild have always been such a trigger for my imagination! I can just imagine fairies living among them...

  5. Me too Cat! In fact I almost included a quote about fairies but decided to save it for another post. :)

  6. Mushrooms have to be one of the most photogenic plants, next to moss. I can't help but want to take a picture whenever I see one. These look like a miniature forest.

Great pictures and quote! it must be the child in me-I always see something magical in the appearance of tiny mushrooms like these.

  9. Marguerite, I am glad I am not the only one...my husband thinks I am crazy always taking pictures of fungi when we are walking in the woods.

    Thank you Donna!

Jennifer, I find the world of mushrooms and fungi a little magical too.

  10. So earthy and we have been eating a lot of mushrooms lately. I buy them as I fear the wild ones...

  11. I've been snapping pics of mushrooms too, cause it's been so rainy that they're sprouting here there and everywhere. Karin, it's the same when I go hiking with my husband! Especially last fall when there were so many different kinds of colorful fungi visible.

  12. How did you fare with all the storms? Is your town ok? We had one tornado touch down but the damage was minimal. I thought of you as I read the news this morning. I hope you're all safe and sound!

  13. Skeeter, I would love to be able to ID mushrooms well enough so that we could eat the wild ones but as I can't we buy them at the store too. I have thought about taking a course to learn. Maybe one day...

Kate, LOL...we must be kindred spirits!

Casa Mariposa, so sweet of you to be thinking of us!! We had some really strong winds but the storms went north and south of us. There were 10 tornadoes that touched down in Georgia. We were very fortunate, some of our friends didn't fare so well, especially in Alabama. It is devastating...looks like a war zone. XX!
